Sometimes less is more & with the Peace Collection, this simplified but stunning piece is truly the case in point. Understated elegance is how we describe this collection, making it the perfect one-piece for a special evening out. This dress offers you a very elegant design and form-fitted design with the waistband or relaxed fit without it. It has circular flounce sleeves that are about three-fourth in length.
White doves are symbolic of new beginnings, peace, fidelity, love, luck and prosperity. Their release is a tradition that has been making ceremonies, rituals and celebrations more powerful and meaningful for thousands of years. Releasing doves uplifts the eyes, signifies new beginnings and true celebrations in flight. The symbol of the pure white dove transcends all cultures and traditions.
This handcrafted and individually made garment means no two pieces can be the same. A slower and more intricate process that establishes a true human connection with the garments – something we believe to be very special and unique.
The Peace collection's concept is hope for global peace. One day, we'd like to turn on the news and hear that the world is at peace. That day, the power of love triumphs over the power of love. In this collection, each dress is inspired by a different symbol of peace. Due to the situation of the Afghan people, 20% of all garment sales are donated to Afghan women whose lives have been impacted by the internal war.
"Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you have no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain."
-Saadi
Maven Label specializes in one-of-a-kind dresses that are handcrafted and hand-sewn. As a result, we selected handwoven carpets woven by Middle Eastern women in the photoshoot of the Peace collection, which are adored for their intricate designs, sumptuous colors, and inimitable craftsmanship, with 20% of sales going to Afghan women who are involved in each knot. All of the rugs in the photoshoot were hand-knotted by tribal women over the course of many years, and each has its own individual story to tell. The women use methods handed down from generations, which means they are the highest of quality. We invest in lovely fabrics since they are similar to vintage rugs in terms of durability and sustainability, which is essential for our precious planet. Each dress and each rug is as special as you are with its own unique journey and is waiting to begin the next chapter of its life.
